When all is said and done, the great indictment against the Baby Boomers — it will surely come, as with all comeuppance — will be encapsulated in the fact that, in youth, they cried “Don’t trust anyone over thirty!” while, in their age, they asserted “I am the science!” In the end, then, it was all — everything, every little bit of all they ever said and did — about themselves.
